Add

To add a short-term sinking fund:

Click on "Budget > Items > Sinking funds" to open the "Sinking Funds" slider
Click on the "Add" button to display the "New Sinking Fund" dialog box
Enter a "Name"
Enter the "Goal amount of money needed"
Select the date to "Start to set aside month on or after"
Select the Budget columns in each month to "Set aside money on"
Select the date to "Reach the goal amount of money by"

To finish:

If the new sinking fund is not to be added to the budget now, uncheck "Include in Budget." The sinking fund can be added to the Budget at any time by:
- editing the sinking fund and checking "Include in Budget," or
- double-clicking on the sinking fund in the "Sinking Funds" slider
Click on the "OK" button
