Transaction file map

You can download useful transaction files from websites in spreadsheet (.CSV) format. The transaction files can be from any source such as:

Your bank or credit union's website
Credit card company websites
An online transaction accumulation service such as Yodlee, Plaid and Tillerhq

The rows and columns in the transaction files from different websites are not formatted the same. You create a transaction file map in order to use these differently formatted download files in A Real Budget.

A transaction file map identifies the useful rows and columns in a transaction file. Depending on the source of the download file, the mapped information can be used when:

balancing the budget space's checking account
entering new credit card transactions
when reconciling credit card statements
